Three Cotsen-affiliated Graduate Students Honored by Fulbright-Hays Program


Of the 11 proposed fellows and alternates from UCLA selected for the 2020 Fulbright-Hays Doctoral Dissertation Research Abroad program, three are affiliated with the Cotsen Institute of Archaeology. Kirie Stromberg has been awarded this prestigious fellowship for her research on ancient instruments and complex society in China and Japan and Anthony Meyer for his study of the art and architecture associated with Nahua religious leaders in Mexico during Iberian occupation. Andrew MacIver was selected as an alternate for his exploration of the geopolitical transition from the late Shang dynasty to the Western Zhou dynasty in ancient China.
